Picture

A professional musician and voice teacher for over five years, Kat specializes in multi-genre vocal performance, songwriting, music theory, aural skills, and music business. She recieved her B.A in Music from the Pennsylvania State University and has performed as the bandleader for the Pennsylvania-based group Canary at venues such as the Bryce Jordan Center and The State Theatre, and was a featured songwriter at the Sleeping In The Woods Festival in Monticello, KY.
Her song “American Dream” was featured on Spotify’s Indie Bluegrass playlist shortly after its March 2024 release, and her album’s title track Cut the Wires was highlighted in news segments for Brut America and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. She is active in the Nashville music scene as lead vocalist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist for her project Kat & Zach.
Kat is passionate about choral ensembles, having conducted the Nashville Resistance Revival Choir and performed with the Nashville Symphony Choir. She also sang in the televised program Christmas in Washington, providing backup vocals for artists including the Backstreet Boys and Scotty McCreery.

Her songs have been featured on Spotify's Indie Bluegrass playlist as well as segments for The Australian Broadcasting Corporation and Brut America. Teaching is equally important to Kat, and these days she is busy teaching students from all musical backgrounds about the joy of singing, performance, songwriting, theory and more.
In 2025, Kat received her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification and places a large focus on integrating movement, breath, and mindfulness to support vocal freedom and stamina in her lessons.
